Writing successful grant proposals is a skill that can be learned and always improved. Provided below is information on proposal writing.
New Grant Writers
If this is your first experience with grant writing or if you have questions about grant writing for your new organization, utilize the Introductory Guides to Grant Writing to learn the fundamentals. In addition, you should attend one of OPGD’s periodic grant writing workshops. Session dates and times are announced in OPGD’s weekly newsletter, Funding Alert. Another good resource for grant writing information and training is the Foundation Center.
Writing Proposals for DC Services
The Mayor's vision for the District of Columbia is for the city to serve as a model community for partnerships with the federal government and private-sector philanthropic institutions. OPGD has developed a DC-focused tool box for grant writers to aid community organizations in submitting highly competitive applications for federal and foundation grants.
